Making a physio appointment

At Sapphire Coast and Snowy Mountains Physiotherapy, we offer extended opening hours Monday to Saturday, with our Jindabyne clinic opening on Sundays during the winter months.

We aim to schedule appointment times to suit you and can be available within 24 hours of calling.

After your first visit, your Physiotherapist may advise you to book follow up appointments. If you are unable to keep your appointment please notify the practice 24 hours before-hand so that we may schedule another time.

If you are unable to attend one of our clinics due to health or mobility reasons, please discuss with our friendly receptionist the option of a home visit. Consideration for home visits is made on a case by case basis.

Physiotherapy Referrals

Referrals are not essential unless it is a WorkCover, Third Party or Department of Veterans Affairs injury, or you are on an Enhanced Primary Care plan. We are able to inform your GP of your treatment and progress. If physiotherapy management is not appropriate or effective for your condition, we can also refer you to an appropriate practitioner.

Your first physio visit

When you first visit Sapphire Coast or Snowy Mountains Physiotherapy, you will be given a thorough assessment. Your physiotherapist will explain what's causing your problem and select the best options for treatment to restore function.

Hicaps

If you are covered through a private health fund, you can claim a rebate for physiotherapy treatment directly at the practice. Remember to bring along your health fund card to each appointment.

Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Plan / Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan

If your GP has referred you to physiotherapy on an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Plan / Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan, you are able to access up to 5 physiotherapy consultations per calender year with a medicare rebate.

EPC/CDM Plans are for eligible people who have a chronic condition; complex care needs.

On the day of your first appointment (or prior) you need to produce your referral and medicare card. The Initial and Standard Physiotherapy consultation fees apply and payment is taken on the day. Our friendly receptionists will then process your payment directly with medicare so the rebate is paid directly into your bank account from Medicare. The current rebate given by Medicare is $53.80.

As part of the EPC/CDM Plan, your physiotherapists communicates directly with your referrer.

NDIS

Our clinics can provide physiotherapy for patients that are Self-funded or Third Party funded through the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

Please bring along your NDIS plan number, plan dates and goals for physiotherapy treatment. Your physiotherapist will use this information along with a thorough assessment to complete an NDIS Service Agreement.

At this current time, we are unable to treat patients that are directly managed through the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).
