Dry Needling
Dry Needling is a form of therapy in which fine needles are inserted into specific points in order to create neurophysiological reaction in the body and stimulate a healing effect.
Depending on the specific points chosen and technique used, Dry Needling assists with pain relief, reducing inflammation, improving local immune/healing responses and relaxing muscle spasm to assist healing.
Dry Needling can be used, in conjunction with other treatment modalities, for:
- Neck pain
- Chronic low back pain
- Muscle spasm
- Nerve pain
- Tendinopathy
Please discuss with your Physiotherapist to find out if you will benefit from Dry Needling.

Is Dry Needling Safe?
Dry Needling is generally very safe. Serious side effects are extremely rare. At Sapphire Coast and Snowy Mountains Physiotherapy we use single-use, sterile, disposable needles.
Did you know that, surprisingly, most people feel no pain when dry needling is performed!
