    Musculoskeletal & Sports Physiotherapist

    Adam Woolacott is a Physiotherapist with a Masters Degree in Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy. Musculoskeletal physiotherapists are health professionals with advanced postgraduate training in the assessment and diagnosis of musculoskeletal conditions, particularly back and neck pain.

    Adam has over 20 years of experience in sports injury management, exercise therapy and chronic pain education. He has a particular interest in treating TMJ disorders, and performing Bike Fit and Running Assessments.

    Matthew Lehoczky graduated from the University of Queensland before working in a hospital for a number of years, covering predominantly neurological and orthopaedic presentations. Matthew then transitioned to private practice physiotherapy, having worked in a number of clinics before moving to the region in 2011 and became a director in 2015.

    Matthew has an interest in all aspects of physiotherapy, particularly chronic lower limb conditions and cervicogenic headaches. Matthew has a special interest in developing new graduate physiotherapists and is slowly completing an MBA (Master of Business Administration) in Health Services.

    Matthew is available in the Merimbula and Eden clinics.

    Renee Pirozzi studied physiotherapy at the University of Sydney and graduated with honours. After spending some time in public health, Renee joined Sapphire Coast Physiotherapy in 2009, became a director in 2011 and assisted in opening our Cooma Clinic and Jindabyne clinic.

    Renee has a special interest in hand and upper limb injuries, post operative rehabilitation, dry needling and general musculoskeletal conditions. Renee has experience in workplace physiotherapy and aims to provide comprehensive physiotherapy services of high quality to the local community.

    Nicole Staight is a physiotherapist who has been working in Merimbula for the past 20 years in the area of musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Nicole also has post graduate qualifications in both acupuncture and clinical pilates and runs both individual and group sessions in clinical pilates.

    Nicole is an accredited PINC & STEEL cancer physiotherapist. The PINC & STEEL programs are specific, individualised physiotherapy rehabilitation programs designed to help women and men function at optimal levels through every stage of their treatment and recovery. Nicole is also accredited in PINC Next Steps which is a specialised group exercise program combining pilates, yoga and cardiovascular exercises designed to help women rebuild their strength, flexibility and stamina after cancer treatment.

    Nicole has recently commenced Paddle On rehab classes for men and women with cancer on stand up paddle boards.

    Tegan Brotherton studied Physiotherapy at Charles Sturt University with a keen interest in working in rural areas having grown up locally in Merimbula. Tegan has completed further post graduate training in Clinical Pilates through DMA Clinical Pilates for Physiotherapists applying many of the concepts and theories to general and musculoskeletal physiotherapy.

    Tegan has a special interest in Women's Health Physiotherapy having completed her study through the Women's Health Training Associates. Tegan has advanced level 2 training in such conditions as incontinence, prolapse and overactive bladder. Tegan also treats all conditions related to pre and post natal health including pelvic girdle pain.

    Andrea Rogers joined our team after working for 8 years in the Victorian ski fields, hence she is well experienced in winter sports related injuries.

    Andrea completed her undergraduate Physiotherapy studies at Latrobe University and then returned to complete her Masters of Physiotherapy at University of Melbourne. Andrea has also completed her Sports Level 2 with the Australian Physiotherapy Association.

    Andrea is an APSI Snowboard Level 3 Instructor and Ski Level 1 Instructor.

    Edward Moore studied at the University of Sydney, graduating in 2015. Edward grew up in rural Corowa, so he is well aware of injuries and workplaces specific to rural areas. Edward enjoys skiing and, during a season at Whistler working as a Physio Aide, he helped manage a vast array of skiing and snow related injuries.

    Edward worked at our Cooma and Jindabyne clinics before moving to the coast.

    Edward has an interest in Occupational Physiotherapy, geriatrics, NDIS and chronic pain management.

Originally from the Canberra region, James has moved to the Far South Coast and is excited to work with the Merimbula community and manage a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, sporting injuries and post-surgery recovery in both young and older patients.

    James has a solid background in skiing and playing soccer and is enthusiastic about helping athletes with their rehabilitation and return to sport.

    Tye Sieger completed his Bachelor of Exercise Science degree at University of Wollongong and then completed his Masters of Physiotherapy degree at Univeristy of Technology in Sydney. Tye grew up in Merimbula and is very happy to return home.

    During his time at univeristy, Tye has worked extensively with sporting clubs ranging from amateur to professional. Tye has a keen interest in the management of musculoskeletal conditions, athletic development and strength and conditioning.

    Away from work, Tye spends his time by the beach or reading a good book.

    Despite growing up along the coast, Doris has a special interest in snow sports and musculoskeletal injuries and has relocated to the Snowy Mountains.

    Claire graduated from the University of Queensland with a Masters of Physiotherapy after completing a Bachelor of Human Nutrition at the University of Canberra. Her clinical experience includes musculoskeletal physiotherapy, cardiorespiratory, orthopaedics, acute stroke and rehabilitation.

    Claire relocated to the Bega Valley to work both publicly at South East Regional Hospital, as well as working privately at our Bega clinic. Claire has a special interest in neurological conditions, dizziness, balance and older adults.

    Anastasia has a wide variety of physiotherapy interests including women’s health and clinical Pilates.

    Elise Harrison has a background in Exercise and Sport Science and completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree at the University of Canberra. Elise has experience in musculoskeletal injuries, chest physiotherapy, NDIS populations and post-operative rehabilitation.

    Elise spends much of her time outside of work in the outdoors climbing, hiking, mountain biking, running, skiing and swimming. Her love for such activities has given her a great respect for sports and the impact they can have on the body.

    Naomi White is a physiotherapist and hand therapist, with 40 years experience, 30 of these years in the Bega Valley.

    Naomi is a founding member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association.

    Naomi acts in a consultative and locum capacity since retiring from full time work in 2019.
